2021 NBOA Annual Meeting

February 22-24, 2021

The 2021 NBOA Annual Meeting will bring together business officers, human resources professionals, controllers, facilities directors, heads of schools, trustees, business partners and other independent school leaders on a customized virtual meeting platform. Not to worry – this is not another Zoom call! After a year that has created so much distance, NBOA volunteers and staff are excited to engage in a virtual experience that will allow us to connect and collaborate in completely new ways.

NBOA President and CEO Jeff Shields sat down with Howard Teibel for a conversation about independent schools, innovation and the 2021 NBOA Annual Meeting.

Innovation State of Mind

February 22-24

In line with the conference theme, "Innovation State of Mind," the meeting will offer rich and timely content in finance, accounting, business operations, leadership, governance, facilities, human resources, risk management and more. The meeting will also offer deep dive sessions, an executive leadership learning track, and — new this year — a customized learning path for heads of school and trustees.

NBOA plans to preserve as much of the live Annual Meeting program that you have enjoyed in the past, including two inspiring and innovative keynote speakers, the State of NBOA and Leadership Awards presentations, cohort meet-ups and other networking opportunities, and virtual health and wellness programs. Keynote and learning sessions will qualify for continuing education credits (CPE, HRCI or SHRM).

During these three days, you will be able to attend sessions, chat live with speakers and industry experts and other attendees, as well as engage with business partners in the virtual exhibit hall, where you can "stop by" a booth and pick-up pertinent information, meet representatives and even win a few prizes. And legendary goldmine sessions will be back and better than ever, with plenty of room at the table and a chance to attend them all!
